MANILA, Philippines — A cyclist was killed when he was hit and run over by an oil tanker in Quezon City, yesterday.
The victim, Elmar Usacdin, 58, of Brgy., died on the spot. Manresa, while the driver of the oil tanker, Jesus Diamante, 43, of Brgy. United Village, QC.
Based on the report of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Traffic Sector 4, at around 12:15 in the afternoon when the accident occurred at the intersection of Araneta Avenue and Quezon Avenue in Quezon City.
In the CCTV footage, the oil tanker can be seen slowly turning onto Araneta Avenue, from Quezon Avenue, Brgy. Jump, when it hits and knocks down the victim who is riding a bicycle.
The victim was dragged and rolled by an oil tanker who died immediately due to severe head and body injuries.
