A man of Brazilian nationality is hospitalized after suffering serious injuries when he fell from the terrace of a warehouse located in the Mendoza department of Luján de Cuyo, police sources reported today.

According to the sources, the incident occurred yesterday when the 43-year-old man was at a wine tasting on the terrace of the renowned Catena Zapata winery, located on Calle Cobos in the aforementioned town, and for reasons that are trying to be established, he fell from approximately five meters high.

The fact is investigated with the title of "serious injuries by accident" and the man was transferred to the Central Hospital, in the Mendoza capital, where he was admitted.

Sources from that care center detailed this afternoon that the patient is admitted to neurosurgery for polytrauma due to a fall from a height with multiple craniofacial fractures.

They added that he is hemodynamically stable, without oxygen requirements, under multidisciplinary follow-up and evolution is expected. One of the favorite tours of Brazilians with high purchasing power who visit the province of Mendoza are the wineries and their food and wine.
