Brazil - Military Police from the 15th BPM, in Duque de Caxias, exchanged gunfire and killed four criminals in Vai-Quem-Quer, a community in the municipality of Baixada Fluminense. One of them was identified as Jéferson Gomes da Silva, aged 38, considered the head of drug trafficking in the community.

According to the Military Police, the garrison was patrolling the area to combat cargo theft and inhibit the expansion of drug trafficking in the community. Upon noticing the arrival of the garrison, the four criminals fired rifles, being retaliated by the team.

The confrontation ended with the four shot. They were taken to Adão Pereira Nunes Hospital, but none survived their injuries.

With the traffickers, the police seized two rifles, a pistol, 10 rounds of ammunition, rifle magazines, a grenade, a radio transmitter, 370 cocaine pins and 175 small bundles of marijuana.
