Happened on January 18, 2024 on Ecuador Highway 35 in Tulcán
Pick-up truck belonging to company Emelnorte crashed head-on into a bus in Tulcán.
As of right now, one person had died (pick-up passenger); he was identified as Jaime Oswaldo Enriquez Bustos, he had been working for Emelnorte for 15 years.
Pick-up driver, identified as Jofre Mafla, was taken to the hospital in critical condition. One bus passenger was also injured.
To sum up: one dead (pick-up passenger); two taken to the hospital (pick-up driver and bus passenger).
