Ex-husband filmed killing businesswoman inside store slapped victim before shooting

Regiane Pires da Silva's ex-husband, who was filmed killing the businesswoman inside the couple's store, slapped the victim before shooting. A video shows the moment the suspect enters the office, slaps him and then fires shots.

The crime took place on March 28, in an automotive parts store in Bairro Jundiaí, in Anápolis, which is 55 km from Goiânia. According to police chief Wllisses Valentim, the victim and the suspect were in the process of divorcing which, according to him, motivated the crime.

Regiane Pires da Silva's ex-husband was arrested in Araguaçu, southern Tocantins, on the same day as the crime. In a statement, the suspect's defense said that he has not yet had access to the full process and that he is awaiting the custody hearing, scheduled for this Friday afternoon (29).

Crime

Regiane Pires da Silva was in the office of one of the couple's two stores when she was killed.

“They were a couple of businessmen who had two auto parts stores and each had an office. He passed by the office where she was and fired four shots, three of which hit the victim, who died at the scene”, explained the delegate. 

According to the Goiás Civil Police, the truck and the weapon used in the crime were located in the house of the suspect's nephew. He must answer for the crime of feminicide.
