Disrespect for traffic rules has once again been the protagonist of a serious accident that occurred on Tuesday, April 2 in Santo Domingo de Heredia, where a motorcyclist was seriously injured.

The cause of the accident was the motorcycle driver's decision to ignore a stop sign, causing a car to violently collide with him. A video that captured the exact moment of the crash began to circulate this weekend, evidencing the seriousness of the incident.

Additionally, it is important to highlight that the motorcyclist was not using the helmet correctly.

The images, taken from another vehicle, show how recklessness on public roads can have devastating consequences.

The Costa Rican Red Cross intervened promptly, responding to the emergency and transporting the injured man, who was in serious condition, to a medical center to receive the necessary care.

In the face of these types of events, the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation (MOPT) reiterates its call to citizens to comply with traffic regulations, including respect for signs and speed limits, as essential measures to prevent accidents and preserve lives on the roads.
