Dera Ghazi Khan (Bureau Report): On the day of Eid, an incident of sudden firing by a security guard has taken a new turn with CCTV footage of the deceased Bashir Laghari. The CCTV footage apparently shows that the guard fired directly with the weapon, while the guard claims he did not intentionally fire and was adjusting his gun when it suddenly went off. Investigations are ongoing, according to details. It is reported that on the day of Eid, within the jurisdiction of Gaddai police station, Bashir Ahmed Laghari, after being severely injured due to sudden firing from the gun of private company guard Qasim Hussain Laghari, succumbed to his injuries on the spot. The CCTV footage apparently shows that security guard Qasim, upon seeing a motorcyclist approaching, straightened the weapon and fired at him, causing the motorcyclist Bashir Laghari to fall from the motorcycle and sustain severe injuries, leading to his death on the spot. However, in an FIR filed by the grandson of the deceased, Adil Hussain, it is stated that he was going home with his grandfather when they reached near the Petrol Pump Center, and when his grandfather saw guard Qasim Hussain Laghari, they went to meet him. Upon seeing his old personal rival, the guard fired at his grandfather, Bashir Ahmed Siddiquani Laghari, upon which the police station Gaddai initiated further investigation by registering FIR No. 493/24 under Section 302 on the claim of the grandson of the deceased, Adil Hussain. On the other hand, security guard Qasim Hussain Laghari claims he did not intentionally fire and was adjusting his gun when it suddenly went off, hitting Bashir Ahmed. However, investigations into various aspects of the incident are ongoing by Gaddai police station.
