On May 13, Dak Doa district police (Gia Lai) are investigating and clarifying the cause of a traffic accident that killed a child on National Highway 19 (Nguyen Hue street, Dak Doa town)

According to initial information, around 3:40 p.m. on May 12, a road roller of Khang Nhat Co., Ltd. driven by driver Lo Quang Long (36 years old, residing in An Phu commune, Pleiku city, Gia Lai) rolled the road surface at the National Highway 19. The location of the road roller doing construction was on Nguyen Hue Street, Dak Doa Town.

At this time, Ms. Pham Thi Mai (66 years old, residing in village 3, Dak Doa town) was driving a motorbike with license plate number 81AA–041.06 carrying her grandson L.H.L (6 years old) across the road. Due to not paying attention, Ms. Mai's motorbike was hit by a construction roller. The roller could not stop in time and hit the child, causing the child to die on the spot.

Initially, the authorities determined that the cause of the above accident was because Ms. Mai entered the construction site area and drove a motorbike across the street without paying attention. Driver Long, driving the roller, did not pay attention.
