A security camera captured the moments of the crime of the president of the 16 de Octubre urban transport cooperative of the canton, province of Guayas.

Marco Vargas arrived in his unit to the Una Sola Fuerza cooperative, the man was carrying out his daily routines, however a hitman surprised him.

According to certain witnesses to the event, the driving professional was intercepted by a subject who arrived on a motorcycle, forcibly removed him from the unit and subsequently shot him.

The criminal repeatedly shot the president of the 16 de Octubre cooperative, whose body was left in the middle of dusty 40th Street.

After the sound of the multiple shots, a woman who was in a nearby building ran towards Vargas. She asked for help, but every attempt to save her life by the driver was in vain. The criminal came determined to take her life and he did so.

The murder of the professional driver was due to threats of extortion, which are attributed to criminal gangs that operate in this canton of Guayas.

According to certain residents of the area, there were already threats towards this transportation cooperative. Criminals demand money to let them work.

This violent incident occurred around 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 13, and a video captured the event. In the footage, the criminal is seen approaching the driver, whom he subdues and shoots without contemplation.
