On 12 May 2024, Bangkok Radio Center Received a report of a gas tank explosion accident. Someone was injured in the area of Soi On Nut 8, Suan Luang Subdistrict, Suan Luang District, Por Teck Tung. Rescue volunteers were informed and inspected the scene.
The scene was an antique shop. Officers found the body of a male worker. His left arm was severed from the explosion and he was lying in a pool of blood. Shop owner and rescue workers came in and helped, but the man could not endure his wounds and lost a lot of blood and died at the scene.
After inquiries, it was learned that the man in question is a Burmese worker named Mr. Saw Waw Ma Thu, aged 37 years. Before the incident, he was transporting a large number of oxygen tanks, but while transporting there was an explosion. causing the deceased to have his arm severed by the force of the explosion.
Officials took the deceased's body and sent it for a thorough autopsy.
