VLADIVOSTOK, January 30 – RIA Novosti. A Vladivostok resident suspected of beating and raping a woman in the entrance of a building has been detained, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Primorsky Krai reports.
A video filmed on a CCTV camera in a building's entrance had previously circulated on local Telegram channels. It showed a man pushing a woman out of an elevator and brutally beating her for several minutes, including kicking her in the head, then dragging her around the corner, where he allegedly raped her. The victim was found unconscious in the entrance by a local resident. Later, the regional health ministry told RIA Novosti that the raped woman was in moderate condition.
"A suspect in a criminal case has been detained," the department reported on its Telegram channel.
As an informed source told RIA Novosti, the suspect was detained in Vladivostok. "He was detained on the street, trying to escape," the source said.
