An explosion occurred at the Radonezh oil field in Russia's Tyumen region on Tuesday evening, February 18. The cause of the incident on the territory of the RN-Uvatneftegaz enterprise was an "unforeseen release" of a gas and oil mixture from a well to the surface and its subsequent ignition during equipment repairs.

"Two workers caught fire. The men were seriously injured and are now in hospital. The driller's assistants were injured: 21-year-old Mukhammed-Bashir K. and 46-year-old Eurabek S. Their condition is assessed as serious," one of the reports said.

It is also noted that the Tyumen Region Labor Inspectorate told journalists that three workers of the "Ermakovskiy Well Repair Enterprise" were injured. Subsequently, the Health Department confirmed that only two of the injured were hospitalized.

At the same time, the video of the moment of the explosion clearly shows three human figures engulfed in flames, but one of the men lies motionless on the ground.

The fire at the enterprise, which is a subsidiary of Rosneft, was quickly extinguished, but after the incident, 23 wells suspended hydrocarbon production.

Recall that on the night of February 19, drones attacked a local oil refinery in the Russian city of Syzran , after which a fire broke out at the facility. Local residents reported hearing at least three explosions in the area of the refinery.
