Indore: A 45-year-old man was killed after a motorcycle he was riding on was hit by a vehicle in Kishanganj area.
Police said on Wednesday that the deceased Om Prakash Maurya worked at a private firm in Pithampur industrial area and was on his way home when his motorcycle was probably hit by a vehicle from behind late on Tuesday night.
Passersby noticed him lying unconscious in a pool of blood on the road and called an ambulance.
Maurya, however, died in the hospital during treatment, police said.
The victim's family members told the police that they received a call from the hospital that Maurya had met with a road accident, following which, they reached there. Kishanganj police said that a case was registered against an unknown vehicle driver.
